And, in other exciting news...Scrapbooks Ect. is publishing one of my layouts for one of next year's issue. I am sooo excited about getting my FIRST layout published...you have no idea! I am beginning to think all the time and effort I put into this art is worth it. Just the idea of someone wanting to publish my work is an honor in itself! AH! Too cool!

Well, I'm going to edit more photos so I can share my "baby"! The project that HAUNTED me for months but is now done and completed! lol.

American Crafts Challenge: All About Me!

So I've been a scrappy mood lately and decided to join in on American Craft's challenge this week.
I've been playing soccer since third grade so I really wanted to document that part of my life! These are high school soccer photos (:

keep myself occupied while i wait for my nails to dry so i can finally go bed and get some shut eye so i can be super de duperly attentive for a two day freshman orientation at which i will be staying over night.

i painted one hand last night.
scratch that.
i frenchend one hand last night.
french manicure.
yeah.

i know.

and got super lazy to do my other hand.
cause it was hard
and i kept messing up.
grrrrs.

but now i am obligated to do the other hand cause i am going places, seeing things, experiencing life tomorrow.
and i need pretty nails.

or at least both hands painted.
that is my true goals.

ha.
i think they are dry now.

Jack's Mannequin & The Fray LIVE!

creative rut...

So, I've been in a creative rut all weekend! I sit down ready to scrap but can't.
I think I need new photos and new materials to work with.
CHA is coming soon. love that hate that...but that's a whole other can of worms.

so yeah.
a creative rut is no fun.

But anyways, I was looking through some old photos today and found some random stuff.

okay, so i am by no means a drawer. i just don't have the eye for it. or the 3-d perception either. though i lack these said "drawing skills" i did manage to pull off this for an ap lit extra credit assignment:



honestly, the coloring really made this rose pop! coloring, i can do very willingly. drawing, well not so much. its just the way i roll (:

DOODLING on the other hand...now that just makes me happy!
ILOVEIT.
it got me through high school! and all my boring classes.
no kidding. i have friends who can vouch for me (:
I never came to school without colored pens, pencils, or markers. my pencil case probably weighed 5lbs. lol.



I often doodled my friends names and wrote them notes to go with. I usually gave them the note afterwards so I don't have many anymore but have hoarded a few to myself because...well, I just couldn't give it away! lol.

Maybe I should go back to my creative roots and see if that gets me out of this rut.

Music is one of those things that reminds me of certain times and people! I love hearing an old song and remembering rocking out to the tune with a good friend. Instead of using a photo I printed out album covers of some songs that really have a story behind them and arranged them together! I love music! Great challenge AC!
