laziness...

so i have done absolutely nothing in the past two (or so) hours. i am just not motivated to do ANYTHING at all. nothing productive, crafty, inspiring, or especially homework related.
ugh.
i'm so lazy.
i can't motivate myself to get something done. something homework related done. i have two big english assignments due tuesday and i could technically whip them up and finish BOTH today, tonight, RIGHT NOW...but nahh. i told myself to get a least ONE done...but i haven't even done that.
man oh man.
i need to get working.
right.
now.

sigh.
okay. i'm ready to be productive!
i'll be back when i'm done doing something useful!

AMERICAN CRAFTS!

So, I don't think I have ever ranted and ravvveedd about how much I LOVE their products! All their papers, stickers, and embellishments are soooo fun and nice to drool over (: American Crafts tends to design BRIGHT&BOLD patterns which is totally up my ally. A few months ago I noticed that they release a line of papers called TEEN and I just went NUTS (cause you know I am just that, a Teen...duh!)! I picked up a few sheets at my LSS but wanted every single pattern of the fun papers. My good friend Sydney then asked me to make her a project so I decided it was the perfect time (and excuse) to get the ENTIRE Teen Collection at Michaels (: AHH too fun!

Sooo, when I was surfing their blog last week and saw this challenge I had to do it and experiment with my new papers. Here is what I came up with:

I gathered some pictures to make a multi-photo layout of my sring break (which ended this past Sunday ): ). I also typed up some memorable things/places I went to on blue cardstock and cut them into strips. There's also A LOT of hand stitching too!

Products:
Cardstock: The Paper Company (Lavender & Black)
Scalloped Circle: DCWV Cardstock (traced another scalloped circle onto cardstock and cut it out)
Patterned Paper: American Crafts TEEN (Pop Quiz, President, Team Captain, Pep Rally, Tardy Slip, Sadie Hawkins, Fire Drill, Passing Notes)
Stickers: American Crafts (Simply Chic Milan font)
Ribbon: American Crafts
Flower: Prima (silk), K&Company (chipboard)
Jewels: Me & My Big Ideas
Thread: DMC
Butterfly Punch: Martha Steward Crafts (my other obsession!)

That's all for today!
Have a great night!

reflecting.

Wow. So I have totally neglected my blog for the past month. March was an extremely stressful and emotion month for me with college decisions looming over me. I haven't decided what I want to do yet but slowly the stress is dieing down.
Over the past weeks I have been reflecting about scrapbooking and school and how much time I spend on each. I do study very hard but I craft just as intensely, if not more. I kept beating myself up for spending too much time crafting and not enough time studying. Scrapbooking, therefore, was pushed to the back burner. I lost my will to create for I felt guilty. The more I pushed it away, however, the more I craved it, craved the outlet to release my emotions.
Slowly, I am learning how to balance the two--school and art. It will take time to find the perfect mix of both, but hey, that's life!
Being on Spring break has really helped me come back to this hobby and uncover my passion again. I just love scrapbooking and creating! Its that simple.
Reflecting has been good.

anyways...
I have been busy creating some gifts for my friends. I'll share tomorrow (: So excited!
Yesterday, I went to Newport Beach with my brother to take a walk. Then, we started messing around with the camera. Here are a few of my favorite shots (
